Lil Sum'n Sum'n

Gil Gonzalez, Lisa Wimberger and Tierro make up Lil Sum'n Sum'n, a trio born out of the collective projects of Kan'nal and Lunar Fire. It is an improvisational psy-trance experience featuring a world beat made up of middle eastern, afro-cuban, african, and american influences. Haung drums, tablas, doumbeks, dounouns, congas, shakers, udus, guitars, drones, ballaphones, and tap dancing drive rythyms that range from primal dance to meditational journeying.

Mountain Trance Medicine Band

A long time ago somebody put strings across a drum and called it a banjo. Mountain Trance Medicine Band brings the drum and the banjo back together, combining old claw-hammer dance tunes with tribal beats to make a funky dance sound to move your feet. It goes from modal mountain melodies to trancy grooves to Sanskrit ragas to bluegrass harmonies all on the blink of a dream. Paul Temple (formerly of Tribal Electra) leads off on electric wah-wahfied banjo, with Michael Krow on bass, guitar and electric bazooki, then Jessee Layton (Muse of Turiya) on drums.
